Anna Dżabagina

Anna Dżabagina, PhD, is a literary historian, Assistant Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies at the SWPS University in Warsaw. Fulbright Visiting Fellow at Columbia University (2024-2025), since 2024 Associate Research Fellow at CEFRES Prague. She is a member of the Research Workshop on LGBT+ History and Identities at the UW, Board Member of QueerMuzeum Warsaw, and a lecturer at the Postgraduate Gender Studies Program at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Winner of the START Scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science and Fulbright Senior Award, finalist of the Poznan Literary Award-Barańczak Scholarship. Author of the monograph Kalkowska. Biogeografa (Gdańsk 2020), she has published in “Aspasia”, “Teksty Drugie”, and “Pamiętnik Literacki” among others. She is currently working on a monograph on sapphic modernism in Polish, Russian and Ukrainian women’s writings, as well as on queer biography of Narcyza Żmichowska.
